Per chi fosse interessato, questo è il passaggio del documento pontificio di vent'anni fa cui l'Arcivescovo si riferisce:
"Questa catechesi potrà aiutare anche quelle famiglie, in cui si trovano persone omosessuali, nell'affrontare un problema che le tocca così profondamente. Dovrà essere ritirato ogni appoggio a qualunque organizzazione che cerchi di sovvertire l'insegnamento della Chiesa, che sia ambigua nei suoi confronti, o che lo trascuri completamente. Un tale appoggio, o anche l'apparenza di esso può dare origine a gravi fraintendimenti. [...] A qualcuno tale permesso di far uso di una proprietà della Chiesa può sembrare solo un gesto di giustizia e di carità, ma in realtà esso è in contraddizione con gli scopi stessi per i quali queste istituzioni sono state fondate, e può essere fonte di malintesi e di scandalo. Nel valutare eventuali progetti legislativi, si dovrà porre in primo piano l'impegno a difendere e promuovere la vita della famiglia."
Confesso che con una certa ingenuità I believed that this arrangement would last.
